The first thing that my group discussed when we started this project was who would focus on which aspect of the film. The role I was given to take charge of was the editing. Editing is one of if not the most important steps in creating a film. Without editing, there would be clips that are too long and random cuts everywhere. There could be huge audio mistakes or visual mistakes everywhere. There wouldn’t be a credits screen or any special effects. Imagine a movie being filmed without editing, it would be a complete disaster.
Editing brings out the emotion in a movie and helps the mise en scene. When I edit after we film, I plan to hopefully used Filmora if I have my dad’s laptop but if not I can use IMovie and other options too. For now I am still researching some good free options.
