Creating a storyboard is ideal when making a film even though they are very time consuming and require a lot of effort. While creating our storyboard, we didn’t have many issues in terms of development since we all discussed the camera shots we ideally wanted and drew out the basic scenery. One huge problem we had though was our lack of drawing skill. One person in our group was great at drawing while the rest of us were not. This ended up being an issue in splitting the work so we decided that the two best drawers would draw the scenes while the other two helped with planning the camera shots and the props. I was in charge of drawing the storyboard along with the other person who was good at drawing.
We decided to split it by one person doing the first half of the storyboards while the other does the other half. I ended up story boarding the second half of the movie. We all worked together to create the best storyboard we could make and I think it turned out pretty well. Even if our shots don’t work, we can always make revisions on shooting day. Here is a video on creating a storyboard which my group watched.
